Veteran's Day, or Remembrance Day as its known around the world, is a day that honors those who have dedicated a part of their lives to the service of their country. No matter where you are in the world, those who serve to protect freedom has a very special place in the hearts of those they fight to protect. And even though Veterans Day comes once a year, we all share in the benefit and appreciation for what serving men and women have done and continue to do for their country all year round.
When Builders Care had stumbled across two veterans in need in their own hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, they knew they wanted to include them in their upcoming Veterans Day event. These two special veterans, Bracell Freeman and George Swearingen, both served in World War II…and they both needed the help of Builders Care.
With the assistance of Engle Homes and Jacksonville Division President Andy Chambers, the quality of their lives were about to be greatly improved. Good-hearted volunteers heard the call, mobilized their forces and hit the ground running to help these two fine local veterans!
